Sensory over Synthetic
People wanna feel something. Because, duh.
Hey, all.
Just a quick share as I know we’re all winding down towards the holidays.
AI may seem to be taking over everything, but I noticed 3 things this week that foretell a far more human future in the world of ideas.
A new “Goodnight Moon” suite at the Boston Sheraton.
I yelled in delight when I saw this.
Sheraton teamed up with Harper Collins to bring to life a hotel suite replica from the Great Green Room — one of the most iconic rooms in my own imagination (tied perhaps with the I Dream of Jeannie bottle).
New scratch-and-sniff croissant stamps from France.
Leave it to the French to make mail delivery mouth watering.
Dad who turns 3yo’s musings into music
How could anyone watch this and not smile? Stephen Spencer transforms his daughter’s stories into incredibly catchy songs with lyrics like this:
There was a little woman who liked wiggling so much. Her mom said ‘ you gotta stop wiggling!” So she goed to her room and she wiggled again…”
When I see/smell/hear these 3 things, I know they sprung from human imagination, not an algorithm. They’re not mass-produced or air brushed. They’re real and fun and delightful.
More of this, please. Way more.
Until next time, remember that creativity knows no bounds.
