This is such a complicated topic. I often get questions about pay equity across different cities where we have offices and/or fully remote employees. On one hand, shouldn't someone's role and contributions be valued the same, regardless of geography? Should an art director in SF be "worth" more than one in VA, for example, if they're doing the same work? On the other hand, cost of living is a real factor in a salary being viable and sustainable, and if we're aiming for equity vs equality, it makes sense for that to be a consideration. This one continues to be a struggle.
